After graduating as a Certified Dental Assisting from Vancouver Community College, Amy has been working as a dental assistant at our dentistry since 2008.
Originally from Calgary, Amy moved to Vancouver in 2002 and quickly fell in love with the West Coast lifestyle. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of British Columbia in 2006, she realized her true passion was in healthcare and helping others. This led her to enroll in the Certified Dental Assisting program at Vancouver Community College, where she graduated in 2008.
Amy began her dental career as Dr. Ferguson’s assistant, and what started as her first job in the field has blossomed into over eleven years of collaborative care and trusted teamwork. Patients often comment on their seamless coordination and how Amy helps create a calm, reassuring environment during every visit.
Known for her warm personality and attention to detail, Amy loves forming long-lasting relationships with patients and being part of their journey toward healthier, more confident smiles. She’s especially passionate about patient education, making sure everyone feels informed and comfortable before, during, and after their treatments.
When she’s not in the clinic, Amy enjoys exploring Vancouver’s hiking trails, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.
